Transportation Guidelines 2020-2021 School Year

MOUNT CALM ISD
TRANSPORTATION GUIDELINES

> Mount Calm ISD encourages families to drop off, carpool, or walk with their student to school to reduce possible virus exposure on the buses

>Buses do not always provide the ability to social distance, but drivers and monitors will arrange students for social distancing when possible.

> All Students, Bus Drivers, and Bus Monitors will wear masks on the bus.
Students of the same household will sit in the same seat and/or adjunct seats depending on the number of students.

>All Students and staff will use hand sanitizer upon boarding the bus.

> When feasible, we will open windows to allow outside air to circulate in the bus.

> Buses will be thoroughly cleaned after each bus trip, focusing on high-touch surfaces. During cleaning, windows will be open to allow for additional ventilation and airflow.

> If a student enters the bus and has a fever of 100 or greater, the driver or monitor will attempt to make contact with the parent or guardian for the student to stay home. If contact is not made with the parent or guardian for the child to stay home. If contact is not made , the student will ride the first seat opposite the driver to school unless other prior arrangements were made with the parent/ guardian. The driver or monitor will alert campus staff, who will retrieve the student when arriving at the school.

>We appreciate your cooperation, as we go through these challenging times. Policies are subject to change, as we gain information from our Hill County Emergency Manager.
